Making their mark in France, Summer 2016 saw the establishment of first two Five Guys venues that left the enthusiasts eagerly waiting. The brand expanded quickly with 12 operational restaurants by early 2019. The concept, started in 1986 by Murrel Family in Arlington, Virginia, has over time delighted customers including the likes of Barack Obama who proclaimed Five Guys as serving the "best burgers".
